Chickens
My handy husband, Master Homestead, created a mobile chicken coop. Now our flock can be moved to fresh grass during the day.
It was a fairly easy project with PVC pipe and fittings. He was going to make it a little bigger 8'x8', but I am glad we didn't as it is just about all I can handle by myself at 7'x7'.
Thank you darling from all the flock.

June week three
New Skills.....
..... Scrapbooking. Yes, the woman who sold scrapbooking kits and paper, had never scrapbooked a 12x12 page in her life. I made two pages for a family gift to Grandma & Grandpa Zegers for their 60th Wedding Anniversary. I have to say I enjoyed it. Using the hymn Praise to the Lord the Almighty and our full names and important dates, I used one of my kits and they turned out very nice. It was fun but I like cards still for my paper crafting as I can get so many more done in the 4 hours it took to set up, do, and clean up for the 2 pages.
.... sewing. the children and I tried to make something we saw on a blog. We pulled out both of the sewing machines that Isabel got for Christmas two years ago. One is defiantly a toy and the other is a nice little machine that will serve her well as I teach her. It also really made me want a nice new one of my own. It was so helpful in the little quilting project we under took. I used it to quickly mend a few things including a dress for Isabel.
...Bathing a chicken. A sick chicken so she did not put up a fight. We will see if she makes it.
This is all for the Glory of God, who made the chicken and created us in his image with a desire to create.

Homestead Update
David:
Got work at Boeing and has enjoyed the past year as an Equipment Engineer.
We moved! We are renting four acres to get our feet wet with real Homestead work.
This year we are gardening. Last year with the move and expecting the newest member of the family it just did not happen. We did build a chicken coop together and got Mr. Roster and the Ladies (five hens). We got them as pullets in August and had eggs by Christmas. We are enjoying them.... Mr. Roster might be soup soon if he keeps attacking me when I feed them.
I think he is a handsome roster. If only he would let me feed them with our flying up at me. He really dose not like my boots.
We did a good job on the coop!
The Kids love collecting the eggs each day. We have tracked how many eggs we get from a bag of feed for our Homeschool.

I am fighting illness and down in weight but happy to be here.
Hope to start work as a Doula on the side soon and need to get some things in order.
I am very thankful for friends who speak truth into my life and help me to see my sins and short comings in the Glorious Light of Christ.
May this find you and your family well.
